What this is — and what it is not

This is a private home garden inside a residential compound, not a banquet lawn or an event venue with a stage and a capacity chart. If you are planning a three-hundred-guest reception, this is the wrong page and the honest answer is to look at a function hall.

What it is good for is the small outdoor function: forty chairs under trees rather than four hundred under a shamiana. A garden ceremony, a mehendi afternoon, a birthday, an evening sit-out after a temple visit, a family lunch that spills out of the dining room.

The advantage over a hired lawn is everything behind the garden. A kitchen you can cook in, an air-conditioned hall if it rains, bathrooms that are not portable, and bedrooms for the guests who came from out of town.

The outdoor space, described honestly

Photographs on this page are of the actual property. This is what is in them.

  • A walled compound

Enclosed on all sides with a gate, so the function is private and children are away from the road.

  • An open courtyard

Flat open ground beside the building — where chairs, a table or a small setup would go.

  • Mature trees

Mango and banana trees giving real shade through the middle of the day.

  • A veranda with a daybed

Covered seating at the edge of the garden for elders and for anyone waiting out the sun.

  • A planted garden path

A stone path through flowering beds between the gate and the building.

  • Parking inside the compound

Free and off the street, in its own area rather than on the garden.

The indoor half of an outdoor event

Every outdoor function in India is really an outdoor function with an indoor backup, and the backup is what decides whether the day goes well.

Here it is a few steps away: an air-conditioned living hall with sofas that the whole party can move into, a dining table, a full kitchen with a stove, cooker, refrigerator, microwave and crockery, and bedrooms with attached bathrooms and geysers for changing and resting.

That is also what makes the garden usable at either end of the day — you are not carrying food across a car park, and nobody has to leave to find a bathroom.

Booking the garden for an event

Outdoor events are agreed on a call with the owner, never assumed from a booking form. Three things decide the answer.

  1. Your numbers

How many are attending and how many are staying. The whole property accommodates 25–30 guests, so this is the first question the owner will ask.

  2. Your date

Tirupati fills around festivals and wedding season, and the garden comes with the property rather than separately.

  3. Your setup

Chairs, a canopy, decoration, catering, music and the finish time — all workable, all worth agreeing before the day on a residential street.

Padmavathi Park, across the road

Worth knowing, because it changes what a family gathering here looks like. The property sits opposite Padmavathi Park, so there is public green space directly across the street for children and for a walk after a meal — without anyone getting into a car.

The address is otherwise a quiet residential lane in Bairagipatteda, central Tirupati, with supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance, Govindaraja Swamy Temple nearby and Padmavathi Temple at Tiruchanoor a short drive away.

Rooms and villas

The property behind the garden

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Answers to what guests ask before booking. Anything not covered here is best settled on a call.

Is this a banquet lawn or event venue?

No. It is a private home garden inside a residential homestay compound, suited to small outdoor functions. For a large reception you want a function hall, and it is better to know that now.

How many guests can the garden hold?

The property as a whole accommodates 25–30 guests, and a garden gathering on that scale is comfortable. Beyond it there is no published outdoor figure, and inventing one would only mislead you — call +91 96767 07066 with your guest count and you will get a straight answer.

Can we put up a canopy, chairs or decoration?

Usually workable, but agree it with the owner first — especially anything fixed to a wall, a tree or the ground.

What happens if it rains?

The air-conditioned living hall and dining room are a few steps from the garden, so an outdoor function can move indoors without leaving the property.

Can we cater or cook for an outdoor event?

Yes. The kitchen has a gas stove, cooker, refrigerator, microwave and full crockery, and you can cook there, bring a cook, or serve food brought in.

Can we play music outdoors in the evening?

With a cut-off time agreed in advance. The garden sits on a quiet residential street, so late outdoor music is a conversation with the owner rather than a given.

Still unsure whether the property suits your plan? Call +919676707066 and ask — you will get a straight answer rather than a guess.
